Where Babies comes from...>
Where Babies comes from...!
Sometimes not easy to figure out for
a 4 year old.
My daughter Sara just told me the
following story from when she helped
taking her sisters 3 kids to daycare.
Grandpa was driving and in the car was
Marcus(5) Rasmus(4) and
their little sister Carolina(1―).
Marcus started to talk about babies.
He made a comment about Carolina not being a
small baby anymore and he was wondering where
her baby stroller went.
Sara said: Itīs in my basement, since Andreas
and I bought it from your Mum to have for our kids.
We thought it would be nice to have the same babystroller
as the 3 of you used as small babies.
Hm - So now you are going to have a baby too? - Marcus asked.
- No not yet, Sara answered with a smile.
(They had told her a few days earlier that they didnīt want her
to have a baby of her own, yet, since they feared that would
take away all their funny stay-over-night adventures together
with Sara and her boyfriend Andreas in their home.)
Now Rasmus got interested and asked: - Do you have a baby in your belly now, Sara?
- No Rasmus, not at the moment, but soon, maybe.....
She could see where this conversation was going and she just had to wait a
few moments for the question she knew were coming next:-)
- But Sara, where do the baby come from? - Marcus asked.
Carolina was inside Mumīs belly but how did we get her out?
This was not the right time to tell them about facts of life so she just said
- Remember how the Storch came with Dumbo, thatīs how, she said.
At this point she could see how hard they were thinking.
- Cork? - Who is Cork?, Rasmus wanted to know.
No, no, not cork, Storch, the big white bird that came with Dumbo, you just
saw that video, didnīt you? - she said with a big smile.
- Aha, the Storch, yes I saw that bird, she heard from Marcus, and she could
see that for now at least he accepted that answer.
Rasmus was quiet for a moment but not pleased and then she heard:
- But Sara, then you will have an elephant baby.........!
